  • 7 Jan 2022
  • 7:00 AM
  • Zoom

Begin your new year and visit the Magic Shop to identify your professional goals while learning skills that you can use in group and individual therapeutic, coaching and educational settings. In this online training, Karen Carnabucci, LCSW, TEP, and Linda Ciotola, M.Ed., TEP, will teach the venerable psychodramatic structure known as “Magic Shop” and demonstrate how it can be beautifully combined with the art-making project of the vision board, accompanied by the psychodramatic techniques of doubling, role reversal, mirroring and future projection. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to create their own vision board during the session. Certificate of attendance and four CE, psychodrama and Act 48 hours provided.

Date and time: Fri, January 7, 2022 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM PST

Our classes are currently online due to the coronavirus pandemic, and we are using the online platform Zoom.

In this online training workshop, Karen Carnabucci, LCSW, TEP, and Linda Ciotola, M.Ed., TEP, will teach the venerable psychodramatic structure known as “Magic Shop” and demonstrate how it can be beautifully combined with the art-making project of the vision board or vision book.

Our Magic Shop will focus on what you need to manifest your magical vision for 2022 by trading in what you no longer need – which might be just what someone else needs some of.

In this workshop you will learn:

The classic structure of Magic Shop and how it can be adapted for a variety of settings, including psychotherapy, education and addiction treatment, among others.

The psychodramatic concept of future projection and how it supports people in identifying and meeting their goals.

The basics of creating a focused vision board (or vision book) using conventional and psychodramatic themes.

How to supplement each of activities with the psychodramatic techniques of soliloquy, doubling, mirroring, role reversal and sharing that allow for in-depth action insight.

In addition, participants will have the opportunity to do personal work as they focus on their own professional goals and professional development and what they want your professional life to look like and feel like a year from now.

We will work on your vision board during the training, giving you the opportunity to learn from the inside out. Your one-hour lunch break will give you the time to work directly on your vision board or book. To prepare for this workshop, please gather your materials ahead of time.
