What does it mean to live a vital, embodied life in our contemporary world, which is so devoted to power, division, speed, technological advancement, and materialism? This webinar will explore the Soul’s Body® approach to healing through presentation, discussion, and guided embodied exploration.

Soul’s Body® is a unique integration of Jungian Depth Psychology and embodied practices including Authentic Movement, Marion Woodman’s BodySoul Rhythms®, Somatics, the Creative Arts Therapies and other conscious practices that engage body, brain, psyche, soul, and community.  This approach can assist you in re-inhabiting your body, engaging your authenticity, exploring new ground in the psyche, and returning to daily life with the treasures discovered there. This transformative process supports access to body wisdom, enhances healing and growth, and nourishes a sense of presence and compassion with oneself, others and the natural world.

In preparation,  I invite you to allow a healing image to come to mind - something comforting, warming, or sacred that’s meaningful for you from any part of your life – from a dream, from nature, or perhaps an object on your altar, or something from your daily life.  Says Jung, “My soul, where are you? Do you hear me? I speak, I call you - are you there? I have returned, I am here again.” Please join us as we welcome soul’s body, working with the healing energies of the creative imagination in conscious embodiment.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss the effects of ‘conscious embodiment’ on individual healing
  • Describe the practice of Embodied Active Imagination (Authentic Movement) within the context of psychotherapeutic relationships
  • Identify ways that theories, concepts, and varied psyche/soma experiences addressed speak to wider cultural contexts, including perspectives from diverse cultures and in the face of current, polarizing sociopolitical dynamics
  • Utilize images and bodily states with respect to understanding and clarifying symbolic messages from the unconscious
