Integral Somatic Psychology Professional Training: Improves outcomes in all therapies through greater embodiment of emotions.
ISP Professional Training
Integral Somatic Psychology™ (ISP™) can help improve diverse outcomes in all therapies through greater embodiment of emotions. ISP is a master training for experienced clinicians to increase clinical effectiveness through greater integration of body, energy, and consciousness into their work regardless of their primary therapeutic modality.
The Integral Somatic Psychology Professional Training, taught in three 4-day (or two 6-day) modules, offers a complementary approach to further improve physical, energetic, cognitive, affective, behavioral, relational, as well as spiritual outcomes in all therapeutic modalities through greater embodiment of different categories of emotions.
Module 1: The Physiology of Emotions
ISP is the right course for you if you engage others in psychological work in any modality and would like to work with the physical body to some extent in your individual or group practice or teaching; as psychiatrists, psychologists, psychotherapists, social workers, counselors, coaches, body workers, energy workers, meditation or spiritual teachers.
ISP was a very helpful addition to my training in Somatic Experiencing®. The emphasis on the bodily experience of emotions and how to work with them—recognize, experience deeply, and manage/regulate—was invaluable for my professional and personal growth.
Integral Somatic Psychology is a scientific approach to embodiment. For a detailed definition of Integral Somatic Psychology, the science behind it, and the evidence that supports its effectiveness in any psychological process, visit What is Integral Somatic Psychology?
In the US, 24 CE Credits are available to US professionals for each of 4 day training modules, for a total of 72 credit hours for the 12 day training. CE Credits offered – APA, ASWB, MFT, NASW, NBCC, Nurses (ANCC, BRN), NYSBSW (New York Social Work).
Integral Somatic Psychology was developed by Raja Selvam, PhD, senior trainer in Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing® professional trauma training program. ISP is a comprehensive approach to embodiment based on Western and Eastern psychology, currently taught in over a dozen countries in the US, Europe, and Asia.
