Integral Somatic Psychology™ (ISP™) is an effective somatic psychology approach that helps your clients achieve optimal mental health by fully embodying their emotions.

ISP has been developed to shorten therapy times and improve diverse outcomes in all therapy modalities including body psychotherapy systems such as Somatic Experiencing® (SE™) and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.

ISP can also be taught to clients as a self-help tool for healing, and for enhancing their lives.

Over 2,000 mental health professionals have been trained in the ISP method. Click here to learn more about the ISP Professional Training.

What graduates have to say:

“ISP has been profoundly helpful in providing a theoretical framework for working with the subtle bodies in the psychotherapeutic context. Raja’s modality provides a language and tools that clients can engage with. Many of my clients find addressing the energetic component of their experiences essential to their healing.”

—Nicole Quaid, MFT, SEP

“Having been interested in affect theory for many years, I found Raja's approach spot on in terms of redirecting attention to affect (rather than sensation) and connecting it to the whole body. This helped me understand why I was sometimes frustrated with SE™. On a personal level, I found the "hands-on" experience very valuable and meaningful, both as a patient and as a therapist.”

—Ruth Shidlo, PhD, SEP

“ISP was a very helpful addition to my training in Somatic Experiencing. The emphasis on the bodily experience of emotions and how to work with them—recognize, experience deeply, and manage/regulate—was invaluable for my professional and personal growth.”

—Kenneth Talan, MD, child
