Dear USABP Community and friends,
The United States Association for Body Psychotherapy is proud to announce the dedication of a $10,000 Scholarship Fund to help the profession of body psychotherapy recruit and maintain an exemplary, diverse, student-practitioner membership for the future. These funds will help create three new scholarships for student members who are enrolled in a regionally-accredited, clinical degree-granting program. Some scholarships are reserved for full-time students who identify with a group that has been historically underrepresented in higher education and are committed to community mental health outreach as demonstrated in their application package due July 1, 2019.
One $5000 scholarship will be awarded to a newly-admitted incoming student for the 2019-2020 school year.
One $3000 scholarship will be awarded to a returning full-time student.
The President’s Scholarship for $2000, established by the generosity of USABP President Dr. Chris Walling, will be awarded to an LGBTQ-identified student committed to serving the LGBTQ community in their careers.
These scholarships help embrace USABP’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and social justice by empowering underrepresented groups access to higher education that enhances social and political liberation.New students and applicants interested in applying for the scholarship can find more information on our downloadable PDF application form.
